We are currently puppyless - but hoping!
Our beautiful Tess was mated with Conbhairean Lauser (Dougie) on 5th July 2010. We are all hoping to have news of her being in whelp soon. Tess and Dougie are the parents of some of the fabulous dogs on our past puppy pages - including : Axel, Zak, Zues, Jessie, Marley, Zara and Roxy.
Gypsy's pups arrive safe and well!
Gypsy has given birth to 6 beautiful puppies to the full litter brother of Champion Gayville Nasko - Gayville Nuro at Liczar.
The 4 girls and 2 boys arrived on Saturday 27th March - all safe and healthy.
There are lots more pictures of the pups on Facebook on the group page for Lydsurach German Shepherds.
Puppies play out - 27th April 2010
It was such a lovely day, the puppies got to play outside today.

At first they stuck together for comfort in the scary garden

But soon found their feet - Mojo here being brave.

Trifle and Ollie start exploring too.

Stanley practising his obedience training!

While Trifle goes to granny for a story.

Sacha as always is the bravest and boldest of the litter

Three generations in the garden!!
As soon as the pups fall asleep, Gyp finds a chunk of wood and wants to play!
4 Weeks old ! 23rd April 2010
We can finally introduce the litter as the wee individuals they have become.
First we have the girls - in no particular order - starting with
SACHA

MOJO

OLLIE

TRIFLE

And the two boys
STANLEY

MAGOO
The pups are now 2 weeks old

Gordon's mum can't resist nursing a baby - even one covered in fur!

Little trifle doesn't want anyone to know her weight !

Magoo couldn't care less - but is it nearly dinner time?
One week old!

The pups have outgrown the bed - so had to be rehoused!

They seem to enjoy being able to spread out a bit !

And whenever possible like to get their noses into the sunshine.

Like all new mums, Gypsy likes to get a bit of support from her mum.

Look closely - 3 generations of Lydsurach bitches on one couch!
As with everthing, gentle laid back Gyp took her time about it, often having long gaps between arrivals.

Shotly after the birth - Gyp settles down for a rest

Four days old - the differnce in size is ataggering!

At 5 days, these 2 always seem to be cuddling

It's hard work being a mum - especially when they sleep on your ear!

Gypsy enjoying the sunshine - August 2009
If you're interesting in giving a home to one of this specail litter, please get in touch!
Four Weeks old!
The puppies have changed beyond all recognition in the last week. They are now much more like little dogs instead of helpless babies. They are all eating solids and running round the kitchen!
They have just got to the irratating ankle biting stage, so washing up is now more of a challenge!

The pups are all now really enjoying solid food (as well as mums milk)

Ivy has better manners than her siblings and takes her time.

Rudie likes to play with his food and kick it round the kitchen
Introducing them as little individuals for the first time......

Holly

Holly doesn't really trust the camera yet and always looks suspicious

Ivy would prefer to be running round the floor !

Ivy finally sat still long enough - after several attempts

Rudie is just more dignified!!!!
Three Weeks old!
The puppies have had a busy week. They have all now got their first teeth through - which hasn't made Annie terribly happy.
They are all standing on wobbly little legs and taking their first steps.
All their kennel club names have now also been confirmed - we have
Lydsurach Rhinamain, Lydsurach Ballachulish, and Lydsurach Garbhleathad.
The puppies continue to thrive, and grow amazingly fast.

It's amazing they ever get chance to eat with all the cuddling

Holly seems to quite enjoy it - showing off her new teeth.

Rudi gets a big boy cuddle from Daniel - he doesn't want to be seem with girls!

And Chloe from next door joins in the cuddling too!

But Pixe likes to have her very own teddy bear
Two weeks old!
Pixie is delighted that the puppies are finally big enough to be cuddled!

The difference in size from a week ago is almost unbelievable - it is the same tin!

The pups have also opened their eyes for the first time this week -
Rudie is so handsome!!
The puppies are going to be well used to being handled - as always it's Pixie's job.
New litter arrives!
We are delighted to announce the arrival of the much awaited pups from Annie and Bru!

Annie suprised us all - delivering the pups alone overnight without showing the first symptom of labour.
The puppies were born sometime between 1am and 7am on Thursday 3rd December. The first we knew about it was the sound of the puppies crying and suckling when we got up in the morning!
Unfortunately we lost two puppies shortly after birth - but are left with 3 stunning big strong healthy pups.

Rudie - (short for Rudolph) - the only boy!

Holly - already showing her lovely red colour

Ivy - at this stage she just eats and sleeps

The girls - looking very festive

Rudie - Santa's little helper

Annie before she became a mum!!!
All the 2009 puppies are now rehomed.
We are delighted to announce that the last puppy found a loving new home on Sunday 26th September 2009 where she will be just as loved and spoiled as the rest of her brothers and sisters. We would like to thank all the families who opened their hearts and their homes to this litter - as it is very definately Tess' last ever litter they were especially special to us. We sincerely hope that you will all keep in touch with us - we love seeing how our puppies grow up.
5 weeks old
Daniel manages her catch Honey for long enough to get a picture

Pixie is still in charge of all puppy hugging

But Tess keeps a close eye on them both

Tess the whole litter to explore the garden

Keep up Angel!

It's thirsty work exploring

Little sugar plays in the water!

Which way did they all go??

I think they went this way - I can smell mum

Let me know when you find her!

They must be here somewhere

The boys wait to be found

Honey and Rumer recaptured

The puppies are now a huge armful to get back in.
Pixie thinks Honey is her new teddy bear

Tess is happy with her stick while Honey has a quick feed!

Once full, Honey fancies taking the stick off mum!

Tess finally looses interest and wanders off - leaving the stick

So Pixie gets her playmate back again
Now the puppies are four weeks old, we can tell them all apart much more easily. We have therefore put little cat collars on each, so we can spot them each a mile off!
So introducing ...... in alphabetical order

ANGEL

HONEY

RUMER

SUGAR

TREACLE

and finally ZAK and ZUES

Pixie loves to be in charge of puppy cuddling duty - this time it's Rumer

Tess now struggles to feed all 7 at the same time.

Zak and Zues would rather have solids anyway

Honey doesn't mind waiting - as long as it's somewhere comfy

Rumer can't stay awake to finish her dinner - so sleeps in the bowl

Angel is now a huge handful to try and photo

Zak has much better manners and sits nicely!

Treacle wasn't sure about being up on the couch!

All the puppies are getting plenty of cuddles from Pixie!

Rumer doesn't want to go back down!

And neither does a very sleepy Sugar!

One of the girls at 19 days old

And the boys are just as cute!

But now they are all walking and want to explore

The escape committee discuss what to do now they're out

Daniel tries to round them back up!

Do you know where my mum is??

Making a break for freedom

There you are mum - I'm hungry too!

But very quickly tired like all babies

Back home for an afternoon nap

But there's no rest for mum !

12 days old already

Filling up more and more of the space

And looking more like Shepherds all the time

The 2 boys always seem to be cuddling together

Average puppy weight is now more than 3.5 lbs

It's sometimes difficult to work out where one ends and the next starts

Very very cute though!

Getting bigger and braver every day - mum was out stick chasing!

The puppies are now a week old!

The gold colouring is starting to show

But they still sleep nearly all the time.
When theyr're not eating that is!!!!

Their eyes haven't yet opened for the first time.

But their tails are wagging when they feed!!!!

Tess and the pups on Sunday morning - 3 days old!
Tess gave birth to 5 girls and 2 boys on Thursday 13th August. The first arrived at 3.15am, and the rest were spread out through the day till the last one made it's appearance and teatime! Mum and babies are all very happy and healthy, and really want to be left in peace for a few days. We will of course keep you updated with their progress - and will start posting pictures in a few days!

We will also be following the progress of some of our puppies as they grow up. We have set up the "Past Puppies" section, so each can have it's own page! We have already got Bru, Axel,Nero,Marley and Jessie - as well as our Peppa and Gypsy. If anybody else is willing to show off their shepherd we'd be delighted to hear from you and set up your own page!!!!
