Puppies (hopefully)
Our beautiful Tess was mated with Conbhairean Lauser (Dougie) on 5th July 2010. We are now waiting with bated breath to see if she is in whelp!
Gypsy's Pups arrive safe and well.
We're delighted to announce the birth of 4 girls and 2 boys on Saturday 27th March. Mum and babies are all thriving - lots of happy little noises in the kitchen!
Annie's pups arrive.
See "puppy"page for details
Exciting new litter on the way!
We are very excited to announce that Annie, is confirmed in whelp to one of Tess' sons Lydsurach Benbecula - better known to many as Bru the Bear. The puppies are due in early December, and will be ready for rehoming late in January 2010.
Bru and Annie spent a lot of time playing
All the puppies are now rehomed.
We are delighted to announce that the last puppy found a loving new home on Sunday 26th September where she will be just as loved and spoiled as the rest of her brothers and sisters. We still have Zara and Rumer in the kitchen for another week, so will try to post some nw pics of them as soon as they stay still long enough to take them.We would like to thank all the families who opened their hearts and their homes to this litter - as it is very definately Tess' last ever litter they were especially special to us. We sincerely hope that you will all keep in touch with us - we love seeing how our puppies grow up.
5 weeks old, and we're down to the last puppy to rehome - Honey
Tess gave birth to 7 beautiful healthy puppies on Thursday 13th August 2009.
Halfway through her labour

Tess and all the pups are happy and healthy!!
Good and Bad Puppy News
The bad news is that Gypsy's mating with the lovely Ando was not successful, so the kitchen is still devoid of puppies. We hope to take her back for another try some time in the future!. The good news which we are very excited about is that Tess is in whelp to the stunning Conbairean Lauser again. The last litter still have their pictures all over our puppy pages and were all beautiful, so we have very high hopes for this litter too. They are due on 12th August, but Tess has always delivered a few days early in the past, so we're taking bets on Sunday 9th August.
Fingers crossed for puppies
Gypsy has recently been to play with a beautiful stud dog, and we are hoping to have puppies in the near future. If she is pregnant, the puppies are due on 2nd July - Megan's 4th birthday. We won't know for sure till early June, but are very excited at the prospect of the patter of tiny paws in the kitchen again.
The dream is now over!!!
We have had to take the heartbreaking decision to pull the pin on the dormobile rental business. Many of you will know that Gordon has a severe back injury. He is now unable to drive longer distances, so the airport run which always took two drivers is no longer a service we can offer. As all Landy lovers know, basic maintainance is essential and on-going. Now Gordon is now longer able to do all the mechanical work, the numbers no longer stack up! To employ somebody to look after the girls, and provide the transport service, would mean we were working for nothing but the love of it. Much as we did love it, we cannot justify that amount of time for no financial gain, with 2 kids and 4 dogs wanting to play with us .
Peppa scores 11 on BVA Hip score
Peppas hip score has come back as 11. Therefore we plan to take a litter off her at her next season. We will spend the next few months searching for the perfect stud dog for her.
Secure on-line payment
At long last, and after a very steep computer/banking learning curve, we are finally able to accept secure on-line payment with Paypal. You do not need to have your own Paypal account to use this new gizmo. Simply visit our pricing page, select whether you wish to pay a deposit or the balance of your holiday from the drop down menu, and hit the "Pay Now" button.
Peppa's Hip-score
Peppa has been to the vet and had her x-rays. All we can do now is wait for up to 6 weeks for her score to come back from the BVA before we decide if she is suitable to breed from - fingers crossed - she's such a lovely soft big lump she's be a lovely mum!
Happy New Year
Given the current state of the economy, we are pleased to announce that we have decided to freeze our prices for 2009! We would also like to reassure all our customers that we are in no danger of going out of business due to the "credit crunch". For some inexplicable reason banks have never been very interested in giving business loans on our beautiful vintage vehicles, so our cash flow won't notice the difference. Similarly, any forthcoming recession is unlikely to seriously affect us - we've never made a profit anyway, so a downturn will really be more of the same for us too!
Bookings being confirmed
We already have several confirmed bookings for summer 2009. So if anybody out there is dithering about booking, but needs specific dates please get in touch as soon as you can to avoid disappointment
Gypsy is hip-scored
Gypsy has had her hip-score back from the BVA. She got a 15 - beautifully balanced 7 & 8. Given her wonderful looks and soft loving temperament, we are planning to take a litter of puppies from her this year.
We made the front Cover !!!
We were delighted to see the front cover of Land Rover Enthusiast Magazine's October 2008 issue - because we got a picture of our old Landy's on the front cover.
There is a lovely 4 page article inside (page 48 if you're interested), but nothing compares to the thrill of seeing Betsy and Vera in full glossy colour on the cover.?
Puppies Born 11th August
Tess gave birth on Monday 11th August. We have a beautiful litter of 4 girls and 3 boys. Mother and babies are all doing well! We had prepared a maternity suite for Tess in our utility room - but at the very last minute Tess decided it wasn't what she wanted, and insisted on having the pups in the living room! They have now all moved into the utility room thankfully, as they are terribly noisy little things!

Puppies!!!
Our exciting news at the moment is that Tess is going to have her third (and last) litter of puppies. The pups are due on or around the 15th August. After lots of careful consideration, we eventually went back to the same kennel that we have used twice before (in fact every time)for the stud dog. Conbhairean German Shepherds, have recently been awarded the Top Kennel for 2007, and as always had a stunning stud dog available. After the beautiful puppies we had from both Cougar and Louis, we can't wait to see what the pups from Lauser look like! As soon as they are born we will get their piccies up.
Secure on-line payment
We are working with RBS to bring a secure on-line payment facility into use in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully that will make life easier for all our customers - no more need to treck to the post office to post cheques, or make international bank transfers. Once the facility is up and running we will however be happy to carry on dealing the old fashioned cash/cheque way with anybody who doesn't like these new fangled ways of sending electronic money through the ether!
Highlands and Islands Enterprise award business start-up grant
We received confirmation today that we will be receiving a small grant from Highlands and Islands Enterprise to help with our cash flow through this difficult first year. It isn't a fortune - but it is nice to know that somebody else believes in the dream and our business plan!!!!
Vera Arrives !- 1st April 2008??
arrived in Sutherland today!? Having spotted the old girl in the classified ads of Landrover Monthly we bought Vera blind (cornwall seemed an awful long way to go to see her.) But when her owner volunteered to drive the 730 miles to deliver her we knew she must be fairly sound.

??????? Vera Arrives early afternoon - after driving all night.

?Geoff hands over all the handbooks, workshop manuals etc

??????????????????????????????? Vera's engine

?????????????????? ?Megan couldn't wait to go for a spin!!

????????Sliding windows are so easy to open when you're 2 and a half.
We would like to say a heartfelt Thankyou to Geoff for driving all the way up here -
and for letting us buy Vera in the first place -( promise we will love and cherish her).
Hope the dogs and kids weren't too much of a strain after a sleepless night!

Another Series IIA Dormobile for the fleet - 23rd March 2008
This weekend we managed to buy another series IIa Dormobile! This one which will be arriving with us very soon, has only had one owner from new in 1969. She is still in original condition and has been lovingly looked after - for all of her 66,000 miles! We can hardly wait for her to make the drive up from Cornwall. Pictures and more details will be available as soon as she arrives!
Huge Thankyou Graeme

A huge thank you to Graeme who saw our appeal for a seat box and came up with the goods! (quite literally as he even delivered it to us.) Good luck with the MOT on your dormobile - hope she sails through !
