Axel just keeps getting more beautiful as he grows up!
He's a real poser for the camera too by the look of these pictures.
In these pictures he's about 16 months old - and more loved and spoiled every day.
Obviously he gets his good looks from his mum, and his lovely long coat from his dad.
He's exactly the kind of dog we try to make at Lydsurach!
Axel was born in our living room in August 2008, and was nicknamed Spangels for the first couple of months of his life.
Tess is his mum and his dad is the stunning longhaired Conbhairean Lauser (Dougie)
We very nearly kept him, but gave way to good sense in the end - keeping a dog in the house with 4 bitches would have been very hard work. Angus and Christine fell in love with Axel before they ever got chance to meet him - watching him grow and develop on the website.
He now lives in Stornoway with them where he's spoiled rotten! He loves his long walks and swimming in the sea. Like all shepherds he has a mischevious streak - rolling in muddy puddles when he gets chance. He has recently been hip scored, and got a fabulous score of 10 - so we are all very proud of him!
