About Us
Set in the picturesque Highlands of Scotland - Acreswild (Sutherland) is a small family business, where we indulge our passion for German Shepherds.
Gordon and Julie Murray moved to Bonar Bridge in Sutherland in 2003. Since we arrived we've had two kids Danny now 6 and Pixie now 4. We've also added four German Shepherds to the family(tess, peppa, gypsy and annie) . Fortunately we have 78 acres of croft land to play on so we still have plenty of room to expand!!
Our kennel club affix "Lydsurach" is named after the top of the hill on which we live. The crofter who had our land before us lived in a house at Lydsurach but moved down the hill in the 1950's to the house which we now all squash into. The old house is still there, fully furnished, with the newspaper still on the table dated November 5th 1951.
Our dogs are all bred for good hips, good looks, but most of all for fabulous temperaments. All four live in the house with us and the kids, so have to be 100% bomb proof.
When we do have puppies, they are all kennel club registered with a 5 generation pedigree certificate. All the registrations carry the endorsement "prodegy not eligible for registration". This restriction is lifted as and when a satisfactory hip score is obtained when the puppies are a minimum of a year old.
